First customers move in as part of small site project

whg has welcomed the first customers to move into new homes built on its disused sites in Walsall.
Seven disused sites were transformed into 20 affordable homes in phase one, in partnership with constructors Harper Group, which was technically challenging on many levels due to the nature and close proximity to existing homes.
Santa, who moved into one with her husband and three children, said: “The house is warm and bright, and really suitable for my family. I love the open-plan kitchen and the nice garden. People always struggle to find somewhere to live, so it’s great that whg are providing these affordable homes for families.”
For phase 2 whg is set to partner with Enrok Construction.
Jordan Mallisch, Managing Director from Enrok added: “We are excited to be commencing works with whg on phase two of this small site project, delivering 14 homes for affordable rent in Aldridge, Brownhills, and Bloxwich.”
