We have made changes to how we allocate properties
If you are looking for a home you will need to check your eligibility to reapply for properties with us.
Why have you made these changes?
- We have a huge demand for homes with only a small number becoming vacant each year. This means some people may never be offered a home with us.
- Most of our homes are in Walsall. As Walsall Council have opened a housing register we have reviewed the way we allocate homes off our own register.
What do the changes mean for me?
- Half of our available homes will now be offered to current whg customers and/or those with a local connection.
- The remaining half of our available homes will be allocated by Walsall Council from their own housing register, or by the local council for homes outside the Walsall area.
- You will be directed to the most appropriate route based on your circumstances. This could be through HomeSwapper, through your local council or via our housing register.
